God Eater 2: Rage Burst was announced for PlayStation 4 and Vita earlier this month during Sony’s pre-TGS conference, and this week’s issue of Famitsu shares some more info on the game, including a new weapon typ. [Thanks, Game Jouhou]
According to the magazine report, the newest weapon type to be added in God Eater 2: Rage Burst is called the “Valiant Scythe,” which is said to have further reach than any other melee weapon thus far, and will bring a new strategic value to the fight.
Additionally, God Eater 2: Rage Burst adds a new power-up element called the “Blood Rage”. This mode gives you different buffs that will have various conditions that will need to be met, like “Do ___ damage against Vajra,” and so on.
There will be various requirements to choose from, and the more harsh the choice you make, the more powerful the buff you’ll get in return will be as well.
The story also adds the “Rage Burst” part, where it will introduce a new character named Levi, who is said to have the appearance of “an erotic Little Red Riding Hood” and wields the new Valiant Scythe as her weapon of choice.
God Eater 2: Rage Burst will release in Japan sometime this Winter for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
