Kratos is going to be a father figure rather soon. The PlayStation Blog has revealed the release date for God of War, as well as its collector’s editions and pre-order promotion. People will be able to pick up the game on April 20, 2018.
The pre-order incentive for God of War are three legendary shield skins. These are available when making any pre-order for any edition of the game worldwide. There is also a Luck of Ages XP Boost, that has an enchantment slot and +10 luck so you can increase Kratos’ experience faster, earn more Hacksilver and possibly trigger perks more often. The Luck of Ages is at GameStop in North America, EB Games in Canada, and select retailers in Europe.
Multiple special editions will be available. The first is a Europe-exclusive Limited Edition. It comes with the game, a SteelBook with Huldra Bros. loo, an art book from Dark Horse, a PlayStation 4 theme and the Death’s Vow armor set and Exile’s Guardian shield DLC.
It is similar to the God of War Digital Deluxe Edition, which is available worldwide, This includes a digital copy of the game, the digital art book, the digital copy of the #0 comic, the theme and the two pieces of DLC. It will be $69.99USD/$89.99 CAD. In North America and Canada, ordering this version of the game will get you an actual pin.
The God of War Collector’s Edition is another worldwide release. It comes with a physical copy of the game, the SteelBook case, a 9” Gentle Giant statue of Kratos with Atreus, two 2” Hulda Bros. carvings, a cloth map, lithographs and downloads of the art book, comic, PlayStation 4 theme, Exile’s Guardian Shield and Death’s Vow Armor. It will be $129.99 USD/$169.99 CAD.
The God of War Stone Mason edition will only be available in the United States and Canada. It takes everything from the aforementioned Collector’s Edition, then tosses in four additional items that are exclusive to this version of the game. You get the Stone Mason’s Ring, a talking Mimir’s head, a 2” Atreus horse carving, a 2” troll carving and a Defender of the Chosen shield. It is $149.99 USD/$199.99 CAD, though in Canada you can only find it at EB Games.

God of War will come to the PlayStation 4 on April 20, 2018.
