Godly Prison Tower: Mary Skelter Introduces Its Scary “Giant Nightmare” Bosses

Compile Heart revealed a new feature that will challenge players as they take on dungeons in the upcoming PS Vita dungeon crawler, Godly Prison Tower: Mary Skelter, with a look at the “Giant Nightmares.”

Before getting into the Giant Nightmares, here’s the latest trailer of the game, giving us another look at the story and its characters.

To give you an idea what a “Nightmare” is in Godly Prison Tower: Mary Skelter, they’re kind of like FOEs from Etrian Odyssey, monsters you’ll want to be cautious around in dungeons. These guys are able to move in real-time, which provides an element of fear as you work your way in and out of the areas.

As you advance through the story, you’ll not only encounter regular Nightmares, but also “Giant Nightmares.”  As the name suggests, these guys are giant Nightmares that are three or four stories tall. You’ll fight them in dynamic battles that require moving around and breaking their parts.

Not only are they huge and come in several parts, but they’re able to attack parts of the map. When a red indicator is shown on the map, that means a Giant Nightmare’s attack will land there, so you’ll want to get away from those areas as soon as possible.

Since regular attacks alone won’t cut it in the fight against Giant Nightmares, you’ll get to use devices that are installed throughout the map. These devices are activated using the Blood-Type Girls’ abilities, and can deal massive damage to the Giant Nightmares when used properly.

Godly Prison Tower: Mary Skelter releases in Japan on October 13, 2016 for PlayStation Vita.
