In Golf Story, there is a game-breaking bug. Once people reach Tidy Park, they will find themselves invited to a party. Those who chose to save and quit in the middle of this party would find their avatar shrunk down and unable to progress. However, Sidebar Games has submitted a patch to Nintendo that fixes this issue and should hopefully go live soon.

This Golf Story patch will fix the problem going forward. It will also repair the save files of people who saved and quit during the party and found themselves trapped as a result. An exact release date for the patch has yet to be announced. (It will also fix other, as yet unnamed issues.) In the meantime, people currently playing can avoid this pitfall by playing through the party segment in its entirety and not saving and quitting during it.

Golf Story is available for the Nintendo Switch.
