Good Smile Company’s Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Pyra and Mythra Figures Are Coming Back

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

When Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was released, Good Smile Company put together a pair of figures based on Pyra and Mythra, the legendary Blade Rex uses throughout the game. Both are retired figures, which means the already expensive characters would cost much more to acquire again. However at Wonder Festival 2020 Winter, Good Smile Company announced reruns of both of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Pyra and Mythra models. Each one of these 1/7th scale figures is based on the original character designs by Saito Masatsugu. [Thanks, AmiAmi!]

Good Smile Company’s Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Pyra figure was released first. She was sculpted by Akimofu, painted by Akimoto Hajime, and launched in December 2018. She cost ¥18,333 (~$167) at the time, though it is unknown if that price will remain the same for the rerelease.

The Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Mythra figure showed up about a year later in March 2019. She was sculpted by Mito Wotaku and painted by Iwabitsu. Like Pyra, her original price was ¥18,333 (~$167). While people don’t have to have both, they are designed in such a way that someone could place their stands to pair them up and overlap the two Blades for a matching pose.
