Gran Turismo 5 Hits Roadblock, Won’t Make March Release

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan initially pegged Gran Turismo 5 for March 2010. Today, SCEJ announced a delay and a “TBA” release date.

The terse press release apologizes and says Sony will announce a new release date for Japan in the future. Multiple retailers had Gran Turismo 5 scheduled for March 25 just last week, which also happens to be God of War III’s confirmed release date for Japan.

Gran Turismo 5 has 1,000 cars, online play, car damage, and YouTube uploading. It’s unclear if Polyphony Digital will add more content during the delay.
