Check out the announcement tweet below:

“Thanks to all of your patronage, Granblue Fantasy Versus surpassed 200,00 in Japanese sales!

We plan to add more DLC characters one after the other with Soriz, Djeeta, Zooey, and more, so please look forward to it!”

The tweet also notes that the 200,000 units come from a total of shipped retail copies and digital sales.

Granblue Fantasy Versus started out with strong sales when it practically reached the 150,000 units milestone on its launch day. To give you an idea of how well Granblue Fantasy Versus performed in its debut, Dragon Ball FighterZ saw 68,000 units in its opening week of sales in Japan.

In other news, we recently reported that the next DLC character Soriz will join the mix starting April 7, 2020. Zooey and Djeeta will follow as part of the Season 1 DLC, alongside the already released Beelzebub and Narmaya. Season 2 was already announced, but so far we only know one new DLC character with Belial.

Granblue Fantasy Versus is available worldwide for the PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. If you’re curious about the game’s RPG Mode, check out Lucas’ playtest here.
