The news about Treasure’s Sega Saturn beat ’em up, Guardian Heroes, coming to Xbox 360 was announced in North America first. Sega Japan just caught up and opened a teaser site for the game with a bit more information and this screenshot of versus mode.
While there are only five characters for story mode, Guardian Heroes lets you pick heroes and enemies for an all out brawl in versus mode. There are 45 different characters to choose from and up to 12 can duke it out online or offline. Versus mode supports up to four players.
Guardian Heroes will cost 800 Microsoft Points ($10) when it launches this summer in Japan. Wait a second… Sega of America announced Guardian Heroes as a "fall" title. Are we getting Guardian Heroes earlier or is this a case of Japan counting September as summer since autumn doesn’t start until the end of the month? (This happens from time to time with release windows.)
