Following the new character Giovanna reveal and Anji Mito teaser, Arc System Works announced the release date of Guilty Gear -Strive-Â during the official live stream. The game will release on April 9, 2021, for the standard edition on PS5, PS4, and PC via Steam. The Deluxe & Ultimate Edition versions will get early access that starts on April 6, 2021.

Those who go with the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions on the PS4 and PS5 will get early access starting April 6, 2021. It will include all offline modes, Story Mode (prologue only), and 13 characters to start. Keep in mind that the Steam version of the game will not get early access.
The standard edition release date is April 9, 2021. It will include the online modes, Story Mode (main story), and all playable characters, including Anji Mito. One more character will be added as well. The early purchase bonus includes character color swaps for Sol and Ky. This also changes the fire and lightning attacks to the opposite colors.
Arc System Works also announced the “GGST Season Pass 1” that will add five additional playable characters. It will also include extra character colors (5 colors each for all 20 characters), two additional battle stages, and an extra story scenario (Another Story). We’ll get more details on pricing and such on a later date.
As far as pricing goes, the Standard Edition will go for 7,800 yen plus tax. The Deluxe Edition is a digital-only option that will include the main game and the GGST Season Pass 1 as a set for 10,500 yen plus tax. The Ultimate Edition that comes with the game and season pass will also include the Sound & Artworks, special colors, for 12,500 yen plus tax.
Arcade-goers in Japan will get to check out a location test sometime in early 2021. Also coming in early 2021 is an open beta test for consoles. Those who pre-order the game via PS Store will get in on the Open Beta Test a day earlier.
Guilty Gear -Strive-Â will release for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on April 9, 2021.
