Gundam Barbatos Metal Robot Spirits Action Figure Appears Next Year

Bandai Spirits revealed a new Metal Robot Spirits <Side MS> action figure of the ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. This figure will contain parts from the Mobile Suit’s first four forms in the anime show.

While Gunpla model kits require people to construct the Mobile Suit from runner parts, the Metal Robot Spirits action figure will already have the basic mech assembled. The package will come with multiple weapons that the figure can equip.

The set will contain a variety of shoulder armor and weapons that let the owner reproduce Gundam Barbatos’ early appearances from the 1st Form to the 4th Form. The owner can even make their own configuration regardless of the established forms.

The action figure will not be only available on the Japanese Premium Bandai site. It will also appear on the Hong Kong, Taiwanese, and Singaporean web stores. The set will cost ¥19,800 / SG$183 (around US$130). Bandai Spirits also revealed plans to release this action figure in the U.S., but it has yet to provide links to any web stores for the country.

Bandai Spirits will base this figure on the first season of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, which aired in 2015. Bandai Namco included the season’s storyline in Iron-Blooded Orphans G, which it launched for iOS and Android devices in November 2022. However, the mobile game will not last long as the company will shut it down on January 11, 2024.

The Metal Robot Spirits <Side MS> action figure of the ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos will be available in June 2024. Bandai Spirits will open pre-orders on November 17, 2023.
