Bandai Namco recently revealed what’s to come in Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Full Boost’s upcoming major update, which adds a bunch of new content, from new Mobile Suits to system changes. The latest trailer highlights some of the key additions.
The biggest feature that is being added through the update is the implementation of “GP” or Game Points. These can be earned by playing Online Arcade, Player Match, Ranked Match, and as a login bonus for playing any of the mentioned modes in addition to the FB Missions.
Using GP, players will get to take DLC Mobile Suits from the first through eighth DLC wave for a test drive in Arcade mode (online and offline) or Player Matches. The test run will keep going on until you lose. Additionally, GP can be used to purchase navigational characters, and they’re for keeps.
In order to provide players with more lighthearted competition, Bandai Namco have added the option to take off battle records in Player Matches, so you won’t have to worry about any records.
The Quick Match mode has also been replaced by what’s called the “One Match”. The One Match doesn’t keep track of records, and it’s a one-shot fight that is meant for you take on players without worrying about rankings, leader board, or your personal player data.
Additionally, the update adds adjustments for custom messages, a list of up to six favorite Mobile Suits along with their win and loss records, and a new camera angle for the Replay Camera mode, so you can take a look at the action from a different perspective.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Full Boost’s upcoming 1.08 update will launch in Japan on May 28, 2015. You can check out our earlier report to see which new Mobile Suits they’ll add as part of its ninth DLC wave addition.
