Toyo Suisan revealed a collaboration between its Maruchan instant noodles and the mecha anime show Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. The company is gradually releasing instant Kitsune Udon and Tanuki Soba noodles themed after the Gundam GQuuuuuuX versions of Char Aznable and Challia Bull.
The regular versions of the Char Custom Red Kitsune Udon and Challia Custom Green Tanuki Tempura-Soba are immediately available in supermarkets and drug stores across Japan. Toyo Suisan will also release exclusive editions for convenience stores later within November 2025. The latter will have 2 extra slices of abura-age tofu for Char’s Kitsune Udon and small shrimp tempura for Challia’s Tanuki Soba.
The covers for both instant noodle packages also have a specific design that lets one connect them to form the “M.A.V.” phrase.
A special collaboration movie featuring a parody of Char and Challia’s conversation from the Gundam GQuuuuuuX anime show is also available to watch on Maruchan’s YouTube channel:
In addition, the company is holding a merchandise campaign featuring the collaboration. People can participate by submitting receipts of Maruchan instant noodles purchased by December 27, 2025. They can then have the chance to win items like a Char Custom Yogibo pillow, Zeon-designed chopsticks, acrylic stands with cover-closing bases, and a QUO Card featuring the crossover illustration.
The two collaboration-branded Maruchan instant noodles—Char Custom Red Kitsune Udon and Challia Custom Green Tanuki Tempura-Soba based on Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX—are readily available in limited amounts in stores across Japan.
