Gundam Versus releases this July in Japan and fall in the West, and Bandai Namco put together a new trailer to introduce us to its various modes.
The video starts out with Tutorial mode, where you’ll learn the basics. Free Battle mode lets you pick various rules and settings in a battle against a CPU opponent. You can also consider this a practice mode to try out its new systems.
Trial Battles is a solo play mode that will have you take on various mission routes against the CPU. When the game releases, it’ll launch with 10 routes of various difficulty. Ultimate Battle is a survival mode that will have you enhance your Mobile Suit unit as you take on waves of CPU enemies. You can also tag up with friends online for this mode.
In Extra Wave mode you will participate in 3v3 battles or team up with allies to take on an enemy boss. Winning these will provide you with further upgrades that’ll come in handy for the next battles.
Casual Match is a familiar mode to fans of the series, where you’ll get to take on 2v2 battles as well as options for 1v1 and 3v3 online battles. Player Match allows you to host a room that holds up to 18 players, where players can make their own rules and take on other players from around the world. And finally, Ranked Matches will become available sometime later in July.
