.hack//G.U. Last Recode Shares New Screenshots Showing A Familiar Face In Action

We recently learned that a familiar face will be joining Haseo’s party in .hack//G.U. Last Recode’s new volume, Vol. 4//Reconnection. Here’s a look at the first screenshots showing him in action.

[It goes without saying that anything below is spoiler territory, so continue at your own risk.]

Now that the cat’s out of the bag, the new character to join Haseo is none other than Ovan. This time he’s shown using his “Third Arm” that changes forms and acts as a third weapon alongside Ovan’s rifle and gun.

The above images give us a closer look at how the Third Arm is used. It is shown to change forms of a wing as well as a giant set of claws that attacks enemies within range.

We also got a look at two arts that are exclusive to Ovan.

The first one is called “True Neighbor” where Ovan jumps high in the sky and drops down with a powerful shock wave attack using his two guns and Third arm to hit enemies in a wide range.

The second one called “Neighbor of Restraint” that brings out a large energy dome and hits enemies within using several Third Arms that appear  for the attack.

Lastly, here’s a look at the original PS4 theme that comes with first-print orders of the game:

.hack//G.U Last Recode releases in Japan on November 1, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PC. The game releases in North America and Europe on November 3.
