Harpoon Colossal Beasts In Space In Blacksea Odyssey

A harpoon and a blaster are your only weapons against monsters bigger than your screen in top-down shooter Blacksea Odyssey, which has released on Steam Early Access.

Blacksea Odyssey is a tournament that draws hunters from all over the galaxy, each determined to fight the largest creature of them all: the Titan of the Stars. Before they can find it, players will have to hunt down smaller creatures, most of which are bigger than the screen.

Players can fight back by using a harpoon to rip pieces of the creatures, or a blaster to shoot through their hides. Those weapons can also be used to cut through the space debris that is floating by, as the procedurally-generated environments are also destructible.

The harpoon and space board can be upgraded with discovered runes, with combinations capable of giving the player many types of bonus. Players will need them, as death is permanent in Blacksea Odyssey.
