The Nintendo DS is absolutely saturated with Harvest Moon games. This past year Marvelous introduced Harvest Moon: Sun and Group of Friends in February and next week Harvest Moon: Welcome! Bazaar of Wind comes out in Japan. So, it’s time for Marvelous to move to another system and they chose the PSP. This isn’t the first Harvest Moon game for Sony’s handheld, but it’s the first original cannon Harvest Moon game.
Look forward to Harvest Moon: Sugar Village and Everyone’s Wish on March 19 if you don’t mind farming in Japanese. Natsume should pick this up in the future though, but they already have a Harvest Moon backlog to clear up so I wouldn’t expect it until at the end of 2009 at the earliest.
Update: Famitsu has a bunch of screenshots of the game and show a bunch of mini-games. In addition to farming you can ride a horse, fish, and chop down trees. You also get a TV which gives players updates on in game events.
