There’s a little problem with the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions of Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star, the Hatoful Boyfriend companion game released last week on December 15. It is supposed to be a cross-buy game. However, technical difficulties have kept that from happening. Devolver Digital has just released an update saying the problem will be fixed by January 8.
With cross-buy, people who buy a game for one Sony platform also have the ability to download it on other devices on which it appears. Due to a PlayStation Network problem, people who purchased the PlayStation 4 version of Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star weren’t seeing the PlayStation Vita version in their library, and vice versa. After January 8, people who own it will be able to download both the handheld and console versions of the game.
Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star is a visual novel starring St. Pigeonation’s students and teachers as they enjoy the holiday break between before the third semester begins. The characters stop Christmas thieves, go to Comiket, and meet a King. It is immediately available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC.
