Fans of NieR: Automata have a new way to immerse themselves in the game’s world. NieR: Automata – Short Story Long, the collection of short stories by Yoko Taro and Jun Eishima, is now available physically or as an ebook. (Its localization was first announced back in April 2018.) To help celebrate the achievement and give people a sample of its tales, Viz has prepared a video with a dramatic reading. People can listen to Cheremi Leigh, the voice actress for A2, read an excerpt from the novel.

You can watch Leigh read an A2-related segment from NieR: Automata – Short Story Long in the almost four minute video below.

There is another way to sample NieR: Automata – Short Story Long. The official website has a 22-page sample. It lets you go through part of Yoko Taro’s “The Flame of Prometheus.”

NieR: Automata is immediately available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. NieR: Automata – Short Story Long was released digitally and physically outside of Japan on April 9, 2019.
