We’ve known a Black Frost Nendoroid was on the way for quite some time. I mean, we’ve seen both the unpainted and painted prototypes for the figure. But now, we have a chance to call dibs on our new friend(?), as Good Smile Company opened pre-orders for the figure. People have until December 16, 2020 to call dibs, and the $52.99 figure will appear in April 2021 in Japan and May 2021 in North America.
Unlike most Nendoroids, the Black Frost doesn’t have a bunch of extra faceplates to choose from. When you get the figure, you have one head and his body. However, you also get four extra arms (two of each), four extra legs (again two of each), four possible right hands, and three left hands. One of the right hands even has the Black Frost Nendoroid holding a Jack Frost that’s reaching out for help.
Here’s a gallery showing off some of the Black Frost Nendoroid’s different poses. One of the images really offers a close look at the Jack Frost the character captured.
This is now the third one of the Shin Megami Tensei Nendoroids based on demons from the series. Coincidentally, the other two were also members of the Jack family. First, there was Jack Frost in 2018. Pyro Jack followed in 2019. Of course, there were also little Jack Frost figures, a Pixie figma, and a very not-safe-for-work Mara figure.
The Black Frost Nendoroid pre-orders are open until December 16, 2020. The figure will appear in Japan in April 2021 and in North America in May 2021.
