Agatsuma Entertainment has a neat habit of reuniting old developers. They brought the Guardian Heroes team back for Code of Princess. The original duo that created Umihara Kawase for the Super Famicom is returning for Agatsuma’s 3DS game, Farewell Umihara Kawase.

Kiyoshi Sakai is the game designer and main programmer for the 3DS title and Toshinobu Kondo is the character designer.

 

Farewell Umihara Kawase has two version of Umihara to play as, Umihara as a kid and adult Umihara which have different abilities. Players can earn costumes plus unlock illustrations and music for the game’s galleries as a reward. Farewell Umihara Kawase also has a time attack mode with online rankings where you can compete with other players in Japan.

Farewell Umihara Kawase is slated for release this summer on Nintendo 3DS.
