Persona Stalker Club hosts Tomomi Isomura and Mafia Kajita like to show mess around with lyrics of the songs from the series, along with fans and the actual artists. A new trailer shows off a little bit from their second official mangled lyrics album, Persora -The Golden Best 2-, which is filled with “soramimi” antics.
The video starts out with some silly lyrics right off the bat, where the opening parts of Persona 3’s Mass Destruction track says “it’s a man’s world” which sounds like “somen kuou” (let’s eat somen).
During the clip, they show a part from an episode where Tomokazu Sugita, voice actor of Ragna from the BlazBlue series and Gintama’s Sakata Gintoki, says that it was totally unfair that they used Lotus Juice (who does the rapping in the song) actually sitting there eating somen noodles.
Next is from the Persona Q track “Light the Fire Up in the Night ‘Mayonaka’”, where the “gloomy night sky” kind of sounds like “moobii, naisu taitsu!” (Movie, nice tights!).
Finally, the last clip is from Persona 4’s track “Heaven” where the lyrics are normally “removing doubts from my mind,” but it sounds like “nuidara sonomama” (which roughly means to take them off and leave them). Nanako’s voice actress Akemi Kanda also added the comment “Dad! Your underwear is striped!”
The Persora –The Golden Best 2- album is currently available in Japan for 2,000 yen. It has a total of 14 tracks including a track from Persona 4: Dancing All Night and Persona Q’s bad cooking theme, along with artwork depicting the mangled lyrics.
