Square Enix’s first traditional RPG for the Nintendo 3DS won’t be Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest. Artist Akihiko Yoshida and Final Fantasy III DS producer Tomoya Asano are developing Bravely Default: Flying Fairy.

The game will use AR cards, but Square Enix has not explained how yet. They’re saving this reveal for Tokyo Game Show where attendees can pick up a Bravely Default AR card by visiting Square Enix’s booth. Bravely Default is slated for release next year in Japan.
