A new video shared on Twitter by Ikumi Nakamura has provided new hope for an Okami sequel. She shared a video of herself with Hideki Kamiya at PlatinumGames. In it, Kamiya said, “Okami is going to be back.” Nakamura asked, “Really?” To which Kamiya replied, “Really.”
In the description for the tweet, Nakamura’s statement doesn’t confirm an Okami sequel. Instead, she notes that Kamiya and her want to make a sequel. Kamiya was the original game’s director, while Nakamura was involved in its background production. (Also, people should note that Nakamura recently left Tango Gameworks, where she was going to be the Creative Director for Ghostwire: Tokyo.)
