Last week, IO Interactive announced it was now a private studio and still owned the Hitman IP. This week, the company has made a move that might put its most recent entry in the series in more hands. Hitman has gone free-to-start. This move gives everyone access to The Playground.

Hitman’s The Playground is actually a rather large area. People on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC can all take on two story missions, two Escalation contracts, and 40 Challengers. If you enjoy it, you can take the save file from this sample and use it in the full game.

Hitman’s first season is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
