Cover and Aquastar started releasing episodes of a new Hololive Advent vs Justice motion comic on YouTube, which acts as a manga prequel for the two English branch generations. It takes about 12 minutes to watch, and it is online for free. All nine members provided full voice acting for the episode.

This first episode initially is split into two viewpoints as we get to see things from the different generations’ perspectives. First, we see the members of Advent discussing their situation. Those Vtubers are imprisoned in The Cell. Due to an unseen issue, they’re all in a single one instead of solitary. While all their needs are met, and even exceeded with things that cater to their interests provided, they desire freedom.

From there, the video offers an introduction to the Justice members. They are tasked with keeping Advent under lock and key. Except since they are secured, it is boring. As Raora Panthera even pointed out, it feels like they are the ones imprisoned.

Since Advent decided to bust out, however, it provides an opportunity for both groups to see their day-to-day shaken up.

Here is Hololive Advent vs Justice motion comic episode one, “A Battle for the Ages,” with this initial chapter of the manga covering the Advent Vtubers preparing for their escape and Justice sitting around waiting.

There’s another Hololive Vtuber manga out now in English. Square Enix released the first volume of Holoearth Chronicles Side:E Yamato Phantasia. That follows alternate reality versions of Shirakami Fubuki and Ookami Mio.

The first episode of the Hololive Advent vs Justice motion comic is available on Cover’s YouTube channel now. There’s no official schedule, so we don’t know exactly when the second episode will appear. If it follows a weekly schedule, we could see the next one appear on September 21, 2025.
