Life-Size Pekora Figure

Hololive Pekora Figure is Life-Size for Year of the Rabbit

According to the Chinese lunar calendar, 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit. To celebrate the occasion, a new life-size Usada Pekora figure will be released. The figure takes the form of Hololive’s bunny-themed VTuber, and is as tall as she would be if she existed in physical space. Usada Pekora is also launching a series of promotions to commemorate the lunar new year. [Thanks, Dengeki!]

Called “The Human Rabbitality Project” in a reference to Neon Genesis Evangelion‘s Human Instrumentality Project, the promo launched on New Year’s Day 2023. Among other things, it includes the life-size Usada Pekora figure. The figure was created by Design Coco, and shows Pekora dressed in traditional New Year’s kimono and holding a fan. She also wears raised, snow bunny-themed okobo, tall sandals typically worn by apprentice Geisha. Like the VTuber herself, the 1/1 scale Pekora figure stands at 153 cm tall (about 5 feet), not including her ears and sandals.

The figure, however, is a unique one-off statue, and not for sale. Instead it’ll be exhibited at the Animate store in Akihabara, Tokyo. Fans who want one for themselves will have to settle for a much smaller (but still fairly large) 1/4th-scale version. Pre-orders are open at Design Coco’s online store until March 22, 2023. The statues go for 198,000 Yen (about $1,517 USD) each. Their estimated delivery date is December 2023.

The exhibition for the 1/1-scale life-size Hololive Usada Pekora figure runs until January 29, 2023 in Japan. More affordable Pekora merch is also on sale at the Year of the Rabbit store at various Animate branches.
