Cover announced that the Amane Kanata, a Hololive Vtuber from the Japanese branch, will graduate. Her last day with the company will be December 27, 2025. In addition to the official statement, the performer herself released one in Japanese and English on social media. In it, she cited the degree of work associated with her role and desire to maintain her own health, and also stated she will not conduct any graduation stream or activities or “reincarnate” as an indie after her departure. Announcements about merchandise sales will come later.
Here is the full statement in English from her account. She established that the work ended up being “beyond the originally expected scope,” which affected her health and got in the way of activities. She said discussed the issue with Cover to remedy the situation, and decided to graduate. She noted that she decided to graduate “several months ago,” but it was kept confidential and staff and fellow Vtubers only also found out today to prevent leaks. She also noted, “I devoted everything to Hololive. It is a place that changed my life, and in truth, I still had so many things I wanted to challenge and achieve here.” She closed things out by thanking people, apologizing, and confirmed there will be a stream on December 3, 2025.

In the background of it, she also reiterated her message that stated, “ In order to limit the number of people who knew about this in advance, there are no graduation related videos, no special Hololive animations (Holologra)” and shared part of the announcement in English and Japanese.
Amane Kanata joined Hololive back in December 2019. She is part of the same generation as the currently active members Himemori Luna, Tokoyami Towa, and Tsunomaki Watame. (Kiryu Coco was also part of the fourth generation and graduated in July 2021.) She’s been with the company for six years, though there were times when she took breaks for the sake of her health, and 2025 was a busy one for her. She released a new album called Trigger, held a 3D birthday live, held her first “Lock On” solo live concert, and even introduced her “sister” Amane Konata for April Fools’ Day 2025. This was all while still streaming things like games as usual.

Amane Kanata will graduate from Hololive on December 27, 2025, with fan letters accepted until that date, and the YouTube membership for the Vtuber and content associated with it will close on March 27, 2026.
