During the Level-5 Vision 2026 II stream, CEO Akihiro Hino announced that the company will share a Holy Horror Mansion playable demo at Tokyo Game Show. This will be basically the first opportunity for people to go hands-on with the title since its reveal. Hino also confirmed toys and merchandise are still in development and there will be a cross-media presentation, but that there’s still no date for that showcase yet.

For the most part, the Level-5 Vision 2026 II presentation focused on actual Holy Horror Mansion gameplay. We got to see Ten Lordland use Cameron the spirit camera to find and collect Mononoke. However, that camera ability also allows you to change properties of highlighted objects after you scan, allowing you to reach new areas and do unexpected things because you “playgroundified” them. You can also get Soul Keys that allow you to get characters. Some items you photograph will even turn into themed dungeons that can be explored, and the camera can affect properties of items in there too. That footage also closed out with a look at battles, particularly with Ten heading out at night with Mononoke to fight larger foes.

Here’s the full presentation.

As a reminder, this game started as Concept Next Yo-Kai Watch. That ended up turning into this new title

Holy Horror Mansion is in development for the Switch 2, PS5, and PC, will appear as a playable demo at the 2026 Tokyo Game Show, and it is expected to launch in 2027. TGS runs September 17-21, 2026.
