During gamescom 2023, HoYoVerse revealed the start date for a Honkai: Star Rail PS5 Technical Test. It will be held on September 4, 2023. It isn’t certain how long it will last, but data will transfer over to the PC and mobile versions and Express Supply Pass, Nameless Glory, Nameless Medal, and Oneiric Shards purchases will be allowed. To have a chance at participating, people must register on the official site by August 28, 2023.
To sign up for a chance to participate, people must have a HoYoVerse account. You don’t need PlayStation Plus to participate, but do need internet access. You can also come in completely fresh and with no character, though people with a character can log in and use their existing character if their PSN account region matches the server your Honkai: Star Rail existing character is on. (So if someone has an America region server character already and are in North America, Central America, or South America, they can use that PSN account and continue.) Selected players will be notified via email.
The official page for the PS5 version also noted some rewards. The login reqard is a four-star Musketeer of Wild Wheat relic set that boosts ATK, SPD, and Basic ATK damage if all four pieces are equipped on the same character. There are also the following pre-registration rewards:
- 100,000 Preregistrations: 10,000 Credits
- 300,000 Preregistrations: 5 Adventure Logs
- 600,000 Preregistrations: 5 Condensed Aethers
- 1,000,000 Preregistrations: Four-Star The Seriousness of Breakfast Erudition Light Cone
Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PC and mobile devices, and registration for the September 4, 2023 PS5 Technical Test is open until August 28, 2023. The PS5 full version will launch later in 2023.
