Players act as a member of a diving team that has been sent to collect alien wreckage in Debris. This broken stuff is supposed to provide efficient, clean energy, but while retrieving it, an explosion sends the player deep into a cave system, trapping them and their team far underwater. Players will need to navigate this system and the waters below in order to reach the safety of the surface.

Players will be equipped with various types of underwater weapons to deal with the sea life that wishes to make a meal of them. Players may be able to avoid these creatures by becoming aware of their behaviors, though, as each type of fish has its own domains and needs, which players can learn as they play. They may not wish to trust everything their eyes tell them, though, as there are some unnatural events and occurrences that happen while down in the waters, and players will need to understand why they are happening.

Debris’ story branches depending on the routes players take through the game, offering some variety in the Manhattan-sized environment the player is able to explore.

Debris is available now on Steam.
