Vtuber Houshou Marine will not appear on the second day of the Hololive Records Music Stage 2027 concert. She explained her absence on social media. Tsunomaki Watame will replace her on January 10, 2027.
In a notice on her Twitter account, Marine apologized for her absence and stated that she really wanted to meet everyone. However, after a discussion with Cover, they concluded that it is still too difficult for her, health-wise, to stand and perform on stage. She didn’t think she should perform with such poor quality. She also said that she worried the fans who paid money and made the trip to see her might be disappointed. Since it would cause people a lot of trouble to announce her absence after tickets are available for purchase, she revealed it now.
Houshou Marine’s health-related absence has to do with treatment for vocal cord nodules. She also announced that she backed out of voicing the guides for the Grand Reception event, too. As streaming involves talking for a long time without rest for several days a week, vocal cord nodules are a common affliction. Laplus Darkness, who is also of hololive, had to take a hiatus in 2024 because of vocal cord nodules.
The Hololive Records Music Stage 2027 will take place on January 9 and 10, 2027. More information on it, as well as advance ticket applications, will appear on October 20, 2026.
