How Big Is The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom File Size?

If you’re about to pick up The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom you may be wondering about the file size and how big the game will be. It’s a rather substantial one for the Nintendo Switch. If you go with a digital copy, it will take up 16.3GB of space, according to the official eShop listing.

However, it is possible that the amount of space for the game could increase. While we have a general idea of how big The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now, that file size is bound to increase. This is because we’ll eventually see patches for the game. That will take up more space on your system.

In addition, we also don’t know what the future holds for the game. As a reminder, there was a The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild expansion pass. In addition to some day-one items, it added The Master Trials and The Champions Ballad to the game. As you may expect, that increased the overall amount of space the game took up.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch. An official microSD memory card for the game will appear in July 2023.
