How the Nintendo DS handles FPS games: a look at Dead ‘n’ Furious

Over in Europe Dream On has been working on a FPS game for the Nintendo DS called Dead ‘n’ Furious. The plot sounds like the Suffering where you play as Rob Steiner who is wrongly imprisoned for murder. Once you’re in the game it looks like the House of the Dead series only blockier since you’re going to spend most of your time blasting zombies away. While the setting is far from original, the gameplay is intriguing. Dead ‘n Furious is an on rails shooter, meaning you don’t have to control where you move. Instead the focus is on tapping on zombies to blast them away. If your gun is out of ammo you drag more bullets from the right side of the screen over to your gun. As of now no publisher has announced the rights to bring the game outside of Europe, but since the DS is region free importers can pick up Dead ‘n’ Furious this November.
