Reynatis includes a cross-over event with NEO: The World Ends with You. To access this cross-over, you will have to reach Chapter 20. During the occasion, you will battle Noise creatures and meet the iconic characters Rindo and Shoka. At the end of this spectacular event, you will battle Mr Mew in a boss battle. This guide tells you how to beat Mr Mew in Reynatis.
How to beat Mr Mew in Reynatis
Keen-eyed fans will notice that this boss battle is virtually the same as the original fight featured in NEO: The World Ends with You. However, the massive version of Mr Mew does not appear, and as a result, there is no laserbeam attack, which makes this a far more straightforward version than its counterpart.
Like the previous fight, Mr Mew has two main moves. The first is where Mr Mew will spin around for a few moments. The other is a body slam, covering a good portion of the battlefield. A decent way of avoiding these two attacks is by rolling away. Mr Mew will summon smaller teddy versions throughout the match as well. Although you will have to be mindful of incoming aggression, there is not much point in taking them out, as they will respawn.
The best way to beat this match as soon as possible is by building up your Final Menace meter and then using this move, as it will damage everyone on the battlefield. This meter is built up every time you attack an opponent or an opponent’s attack successfully makes contact with you.
Ideally, you will want to be the one landing the blows. You can avoid aggression by entering the suppressed state and dodging incoming attacks. When your MP is maxed out, use the Burst Liberation move to slow down time and unleash an onslaught of attacks.
You will complete the cross-over event when you have beaten Mr Mew. When you return to Shibuya, you will obtain the Mr Mew Wizart, which you can equip in your skill slots. If you ever wish to take on the boss battle again, head to the Church and interact with the light which originally activated the NEO: The World Ends with You cross-over event.
Reynatis will come to the PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC in North America and Europe on September 27, 2024, and then in Australia on October 4, 2024.
