In a game with iconic iconography such as Blasphemous 2, certain enemies stand out just for their unique and horrifying design. However, one fight that left an impression due to its elegance and (arguably) lack of disturbing elements is the one against Orospina, Lady Embroider in Blasphemous 2. However, she can still pose a challenge even if she looks pretty.
Orospina, Lady Embroider Boss Guide – Blasphemous 2
While Orospina is a tough enemy to beat, she is in my opinion the easiest boss to learn to beat in the game. Her telegraphing allows opportunities for you to both dodge and parry her attacks. However, I must warn you that you will need to keep an eye on her at every moment and also train your parrying skills. If you can, equip The Partisan Altarpiece of Favour, which will increase the window of time to perform a block, and therefore, a parry. Due to the nature of her attacks and this being a sword battle, the best weapon for this encounter is the Ruego al Alba, so keep that in mind.
First Stage
Your main damage opportunities during this encounter will be to parry Orospina’s stab moves. She will use this move frequently, so you will have plenty of chances to deal damage. However, when you see that there is lightning coming from Orospina, don’t attempt to parry. This will be a fast attack that will teleport her from one side of the stage to the other. Jump to avoid it. She will eventually use this lightning stab attack multiple times in a row, so continue jumping like there’s no tomorrow.
Orospina will occasionally jump to one of the top corners of the screen and shoot projectiles toward you. Once she does, run towards the opposite side of the stage. These projectiles will separate the further they travel. Being on the other side of the stage will help you dodge them.
Second Stage
Once you have dealt enough damage, Orospina will summon some golden replicas of herself. They will focus on ranged attacks while you deal with Orospina. Since they will attack from both sides, just pick any side to run to avoid them. The opposite side’s projectiles will become easier to dodge. At the same time, the projectiles coming from the side you picked will not get you due to angle limitations.
Orospina will become increasingly aggressive and attack you more often. She will also deal multi-spot melee damage across the stage, telegraphing five blue lightning spots that vary in height. To avoid this attack, just crouch beneath one of the top ones. Continue dodging and parrying, and you will eventually defeat her.
Blasphemous 2 is available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
