How to Befriend and Marry the Wizard in Stardew Valley

The Wizard in Stardew Valley is one of the most fascinating and unique characters. The more you get to know this elusive fellow sitting in his tower, the more you realize the lore behind him is deep. If you want to know how to not only befriend the Wizard in Stardew Valley using the best gifts, but you want to marry him as well, you are in the right place.

How to Befriend the Wizard and Best Gifts

The Wizard, or Rasmodius as is his actual name, is one of the strangest NPCs you can find in this farming sim. He usually resides in his mysterious tower in the southwestern corner of the map. You can visit him anytime here in his tower from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. every single day, with only a few exceptions in the form of certain events.

Like the other characters, you can give gifts to the Wizard to raise your friendship with him. You are able to give two gifts per week. In general, it is best to give gifts that the Wizard likes or loves for the best results. Here are all of the best gifts worth using:

  • Book of Mysteries: Loves
  • Purple Mushroom: Loves
  • Solar Essence: Loves
  • Super Cucumber: Loves
  • Void Essence: Loves
  • Iridium Bar: Likes
  • Quartz: Likes

How to Marry the Wizard in Stardew Valley Using Mods

While you can raise your friendship with the Wizard in Stardew Valley, you cannot normally marry him outside of mods. So, if you happen to like what you see with this magical and mysterious figure, it is possible to settle down with Rasmodius. There are a few of these available, but the one I recommend is Romanceable Rasmodius from WerewolfMaster.

This mod builds off of other mods, like portraits for the Wizard and the like. It comes with the option to romance and marry him. But the best part to me is there are fresh 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10-heart romance events you can experience with this mod. This makes the Wizard’s marriage system feel robust and similar to the actual canonical marriage partners.

Stardew Valley is available right now for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
