Stardew Valley features many different critters for you to discover and fish for. One of the most elusive fish you can get in Stardew Valley is the Void Salmon, which takes a bit of effort to be able to catch. That said, the Void Salmon is worth the effort for its valuable uses.

How to Unlock and Catch Void Salmon in Stardew Valley
There is only one place where you are able to catch Void Salmon, and that is the Witch’s Swamp. This is a special underground area you have to unlock. It is found under the cave that is in the northeastern part of the map. To unlock the Witch’s Swamp, you must either complete the Community Bundles or Joja Development Form.
You will need to find the Dark Talisman in the Mutant Bug Lair after this with the help of the local Wizard to access the portal to the Witch’s Swamp. You will then need to give Void Mayonnaise to the Henchmen there to access the actual swamp. Once here, you can easily catch Void Salmon any season or time of the year.

How to Use Void Salmon
The purpose of catching the Void Salmon in Stardew Valley is to do something with it or sell it. Void Salmon is a fairly valuable fish, so it can be profitable for some players this way. The other method of using the Void Salmon is to craft various recipes using it. There are three main recipes that can use Void Salmon:
- Maki Roll
- Quality Fertilizer
- Sashimi
While not a crafting recipe, you are able to use the Void Salmon at a Sewing Machine. This will allow you to create the spool that is necessary to make the Fishing Hat.
Stardew Valley is available right now for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
