How to Catch Shiny Milcery in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Indigo Disk

Milcery is one of the many returning Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Indigo Disk. It has a fantastic shiny form but it can be tough to get a shiny Milcery and evolve into a shiny Alcremie in The Indigo Disk.

Where to catch Milcery

You can transfer over a shiny Milcery you already caught in the Gen 8 games using Pokemon Home, but I imagine you aren’t here for that. If you want to catch Milcery for yourself, you’ll want to look in the Polar Biome of the Terarium in The Indigo Disk DLC. This is the northwestern biome on the map.

These small Fairy-type whipped cream Pokemon are often there, especially near the Polar Plaza.

How to increase Shiny Odds for a Shiny Milcery

Just finding the Milcery alone won’t guarantee you will be able to find a shiny Milcery in The Indigo Disk. There are several methods, though, to help you with this. The first is to obtain the Shiny Charm. This requires you to complete the entire Paldean Pokedex from the base game.

Another method is to look for mass outbreaks featuring Milcery. These are rare and random, but if you find one, you can save and return there often. They have very high chances of finding a shiny Pokemon (think 1 in 200 or even better at times), so it won’t take too long to find a shiny that way.

You can also improve your hunt for Milcery by eating any sandwich with the Sparkling Power. Thankfully, the Blueberry Academy sells an Academy Special dish in the cafeteria for 150 BP, which gives you Sparkling Power. Finally, the last method I recommend is to breed for a shiny Milcery egg. This can take a long time, so it depends on how much you like running around waiting for eggs to hatch.

Once you have a Milcery, you can then evolve it into a shiny Alcremie with its beautiful black whipped cream aesthetic.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and The Indigo Disk DLC are available exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
