V Rising Change Blood Type Explained

The blood type is the category of blood your vampire currently has in this crafting title. At the start of the game, you won’t have any particular type of blood. However, it changes depending on the actions you take. More specifically, your blood type changes based on whose blood you consume.

How you go about consuming someone’s blood is generally to weaken them. You want to fight someone until they reach a low percentage of health. At this point, the game will give you the option to suck the blood out of them. This will change your blood type depending on what they are.

How Blood Types Work in V Rising

There are many different types of blood in V Rising. For instance, if you eat a certain type of beast in the world, such as a wolf, it will change your blood type to the Creature one. But if you then go and consume one of the farmers, it will change your blood type to a Worker type.

Each of the types comes with different passives. The more you consume of that specific type, the more passive bonuses you unlock, such as faster health regen or damage reduction. But if you go and consume a different type of blood, you will instantly switch to that one and start from scratch again. One way to keep the same blood type is to capture targets, put them in prison cells, and drain their blood constantly to make specific blood type potions.

V Rising is available right now in 1.0 on PC. It will also come out for PS5 sometime in 2024.
