How to Complete ‘Blind the Absolute’ in Baldur’s Gate 3

Baldur’s Gate 3 features a path to the Moonrise Towers through the Underdark and its Grymforge. While you are here, there is an entire storyline surrounding the True Soul Nere. One of the objectives you can have during this scenario is to blind the Absolute in Baldur’s Gate 3.

How to finish “Blind the Absolute” in Baldur’s Gate 3

The elder of the Grymforge dwarves offers you the chance to side with him and betray the True Soul Nere in Baldur’s Gate 3. This is one option during this storyline, but he requires you to “blind the Absolute” if you want him on your side when you go to fight the boss.

To do this, you have to destroy the Watcher that follows you around in the Grymforge. It observes everything you do and will report back to the leader of this area if you do something bad. This is why you need to take out the roaming camera and free the rebels so they can work with you.

Unfortunately, there are some problems with this. For one, you need to take out the Watcher in one hit or else it will report it is in danger, but that should be pretty easy with its limited health. The other issue is no one can witness you taking it out.

I recommend heading to a remote corner of the Grymforge where no NPCs are around. What I did was head towards the oxen who are being abused by their masters. Just before them, there is a corner where no NPCs are around for a while, and I destroyed it quietly there in one hit.

Just make sure to save beforehand in case you miss your hit or it isn’t somehow strong enough to defeat it in one go. If done right, you’ll have the rebels on your side and without alerting the area to danger.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for PC and PlayStation 5.
