How to Complete Nachoyah Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

Once you complete the first three tutorial Shrines on Great Sky Island in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’d probably think you’re done. I headed confidently into the Temple of Time, ready to descend to Hyrule below. However, there’s a health “check” and Goddess Statue after you head inside and learn the Rewind ability, meaning that there’s one more thing to check off your list. Rauru appears to introduce fast traveling, then sends you back to the Room of Awakening where this whole thing began. Fortunately, once you complete the Nachoyah Shrine there in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, your adventure in Hyrule can begin.

I found getting to the shrine slightly more difficult than actually accomplishing it. However, that’s because I forgot for a moment that yes, I know how to Ascend and can reach the platform to Rewind those spinning cogs and get to Nachoyah.

Once you’ve fast traveled, use Ascend on the platform near the two cogs spinning on the wall. Once you get to the second level, use Rewind on the larger cog nearest you. Hop onto one of its teeth and ride it to the second gear. Don’t worry, you don’t need to Rewind this one too. Jump onto one of its teeth, then ride that to the platform and small cave. Once you walk through this small area, you’ll see the shrine.

Since Nachoyah is one of many The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom tutorials, it’s easy, but I’d say it is even quicker to finish than the Gutanbac Ascend Shrine. The first two challenges involve rafts. The current is too strong to swim against and push rafts toward you. You need to use Rewind to have the one act as a platform to the first checkpoint, then the other act as an elevator to the second.

Once you’re in this upper area, you can use Rewind on the gear to the left to reach a chest with 10 arrows. Or, you can head directly to the right and the clock hand puzzle. To solve this, you need to use Rewind on one of the pairs of hands so it moves at the same time as the other. When you do, it will make the gate lower. It takes a bit of timing to match it up perfectly like shown in the screenshot below, but it isn’t too trying.

You get your fourth Light of Blessing for this, which means you have enough to exchange for a fourth heart container at the Goddess Statue in the Temple of Time. That means you can open the door behind it and head back down to Hyrule.
