How to Find 25 Shinies in Little Kitty, Big City

Your first task after falling from your apartment in Little Kitty, Big City is to find 25 “Shinies” for a crow to get a stamina-boosting fish and access to more of the city. Fortunately, this kind of currency is absolutely everywhere and easy to acquire.

What are the best ways to find 25 Shinies in Little Kitty, Big City?

The easiest way to get those first 25 Shinies in Little Kitty, Big City is to just grab the ones you see lying around. These can be on the ground, on fences, on ledges, on top of vending machines, on top of cars, and in bushes. Just walk over, press a button, and it is yours.

Another way to get the currency involves finding and recycling cans. In the parking lot where you will learn to catch birds, there is a recycling bin next to the vending machine. If you have the kitty pick up empty cans, you can walk over to there and press a button to “deposit” it. You get one of the Shinies for each deposit.

During this initial area, you’ll eventually learn how to pull items by pressing and holding a grab button. If you do this to traffic cones, then sometimes Shinies will appear out from under them. Just be careful when you do, as many of the early traffic cones are near water, and the cat hates that!

Finally, always look for trash cans in Little Kitty, Big City, as jumping in one and moving the analog stick will cause Shinies to fly out and help you work your way up to 25 of them. You’ll also find a cute item, like a plush unicorn or Rubik’s Cube, that the cat can carry.

How do I find additional Shinies later on?

Once you get that first fish, which unlocks climbing and more of the city, more opportunities to get Shinies come up. Which is good, since you’ll need to trade them to crows at gacha machines for cat hats. It’s always a good idea to grab them when you see them.

One new way to get them that really comes up after you’re in the larger city is climbing up on buildings to find bird nests. In addition to working toward completion of the Sticky Business nest-destroying achievement, these often have two or three Shinies in them.

You will also see jars of Shinies more often once you’re in the city. These tend to be placed on shelves, ledges, barriers, and other places you’ll need to either jump or climb to reach, and I highly recommend swatting them down the second you see one. Once you find one, knocking it down can get you over three Shinies.

Little Kitty, Big City is available for the Nintendo Switch , Xbox Series X, and PC.
