One of Cai’s unique abilities in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave allows him to capture mounts like an Ornius or a wild horse for cavalry and mounted units. This allows you to get unique characters with Mounted Abilities that are better than the default ones you get for changing classes. However, if you do this, you can also get some unique creatures with unusual appearances and skills. One of the more rare and unexpected Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave mounts is actually a Monoceros that looks like a unicorn and can be found in the southern part of Dagda.
I’ve only seen the unicorn Monoceros as a unique mount at the Oleance Plains near Raivo Port and Aurora’s Temple on the Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave world map. If you’ve never caught one, it will show as “???” for the capture spot and only the “wild horse” option will be listed.

In my case, I found it by leaving a Hakseng as a lure. However, it seems any “delicacy” class fruit/vegetable item could result in it showing up, since that is what the creature is known to favor. I found both times I saw one that Cai remarked, “This bait should be perfect!” That’s the tell that you might have a chance of the rarer creature appearing.
The Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Monoceros is an entirely white horse with a pink mane and horn that looks exactly like a typical unicorn. It could be used by a mounted unit like a Light Cavalry, Forest Knight, or Troubadour. From what I’ve seen, the Abilities it learns are Paired Miracle and Paired Miracle+, both of which will include the unit’s Luck stat. The lower rank gives Luck +3, while the advanced version grants Luck +5.
