How to Get an Eiyuden Chronicle Wheel-Eye Seabream for Huang

Finding a Wheel-Eye Seabream to recruit Huang in Eiyuden Chronicle is a tedious chore. However, it’s a necessary one, as a number of other allies can only be recruited if you get him, otherwise you can’t set up Gocteau’s guild.

Where do I find the Wheel-Eye Seabream for Huang in Eiyuden Chronicle?

Huang is only available to recruit after you reach Hishahn, even though you’ll meet him in the early hours of the game. He’s in front of the canal near the appraiser and trading post in the city. I highlighted his position on the screenshot below.

Huang will ask for a Wheel-Eye Seabream in Eiyuden Chronicle as proof of your skill before joining you. It’s only available at one fishing spot, which is the one next to the Seaside Cavern in the Euchrisse region. This place isn’t marked initially, but will be on the map once you use it for the first time. I circled it on the map below.

Now, bear in mind that this is a rare drop. I needed to fish at the spot 12 times before I finally caught a Wheel-Eye Seabream. Once a spot runs out of fish, you need to wait about 10 minutes for them to repopulate. So know that it might take a long time to actually get Huang, based on your luck.

Is Huang good in Eiyuden Chronicle?

Huang is fine. Recruiting him immediately gives you the ability to get a fishing spot at your castle town via the Drafting Studio. It costs 40 Pelts and 800 Headquarters Funds. Once you have him, you can also eventually spend to get a better fishing pole and more fishing spots.

More importantly, you need him to unlock the Fishing Spot node so you can reach the Mission Guild node for Gocteau at the Drafting Studio. If you don’t build that facility, you can’t recruit people like Enoe at Dashan Village, Fume at Dappled Forest, and Layla at Eltisweiss.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
