How to Get Faye and B’Baba in Eiyuden Chronicle

There are a lot of steps to follow if you want to get Faye and B’Baba as allies in Eiyuden Chronicle! I mean, you need to have your castle town at level 2, plus I didn’t see the event come up until after I’d visited to Hishahn and reunited with old friends. Still, they’re worth the effort.

How do I recruit Faye and B’Baba in Eiyuden Chronicle?

This is a multi-step process that involves a lot of traveling around your castle and the Euchrisse area. Also, you do need the level 2 base and to have reunited with people like Perielle in Hishahn, in my experience. I recommend having Carrie on your team too, so you have fast travel ready.

First, you need to trigger the meeting with Faye. When you leave your castle via its entrance take the upper northwest path. You’ll go up some stairs and be walking was though you’re going toward the fast travel pillar in the northwest. An event scene will play out showing Nowa meeting Faye for the first time. After it does, one of the two soldiers running after her will say that B’Baba in Daphan Village could help the Alliance catch the young girl.

That’s your cue to fast travel to Daphan.

In the northwest corner of town, there’s a small building you can enter. It is to the left of the rune shop. That is where you will find B’Baba in Eiyuden Chronicle. She only shows up here and then, and you only can recruit her as part of this storyline. Talk to her, and she’ll immediately join without any effort.

From there, you need to build her Divination Parlor You already have a level 2 base and B’Baba at this point, so that’s half the battle. You just need 1,600 Headquarters Funds. Use that, and she’ll open her facility in the room on the right side of the first floor. (You’ll also get a 40 person population boost.)

From there, go visit B’Baba’s Divination Parlor. A scene will trigger with the two soldiers from earlier and B’Baba. She’ll say Faye is with a person in a pink coat. She’s talking about Yusuke, who hangs out on the top floor of the castle. You need to take the stairs up to reach it, as there’s no fast travel point to get there. Doing so will automatically trigger a scene between Nowa, the soldiers, Yusuke, and Faye.

After Faye escapes, head back to B’Baba at the Divination Parlor. B’Baba will say she is with someone who is both elegant and vulgar at the same time. That’s Francesca. She’s hanging out in the clinic in the room on the other side of the first floor of the castle. Walk out the door to the left, then go through the door at the left at the end of the hall to catch them. Another scene will play.

Since Faye got away again, return to B’Baba. This time, B’Baba will say Faye is with a pair that involves someone large and someone small. That’s Yume and Friend. Go to the second floor of your castle, to the tables in the center of the room. You can trigger another event scene with everyone involved.

After this scene plays out, Faye finally joins the Alliance.

Is B’Baba good in Eiyuden Chronicle?

B’Baba is only around to help you find people you haven’t recruited yet, once you find her and build her Divination Parlor facility at your castle. She doesn’t act as a support at all. However, having that extra insight into who you’re missing and how to get them is helpful!

Is Faye good in Eiyuden Chronicle?

I’d argue she’s helpful if you’re tying up loose ends and going for treasure chests when you’re specifically searching for things. That’s because of her exclusive passive skill Rune of This Treasure. Any time you open an in-battle chest because of a gimmick, it will go well.

If you think she’s fun though, she’s not the worst character to add to your party. Her magical potential is surprisingly high. She also has a medium reach standard weapon attack. So even though her physical and magical defense are on the low-to-average side, you can stick her in the back row for a bit of extra protection.
