South of Midnight features a robust progression system for your time in the various chapters of the story. If you would like to upgrade Hazel’s skills and make her much better, you’re going to need the crucial resource of Floofs. How to Get Floofs in South of Midnight

You get the Floofs currency for doing just about anything in the game, but there are two main sources for this resource. The first is by interacting and collecting the various glowing blue and white objects in the world. They are found throughout the world and you can easily spot them. To help find these Floofs spots, you will want to explore each area thoroughly and not be afraid to go off the beaten path.

The other way to get Floofs is by defeating enemies. Each enemy will give you a handful of Floofs that you can then use. That said, I would not worry too much about Floofs. I had more than enough of these for pretty much the entire game. Unfortunately, levels are more of a concern since it takes time to level up Hazel.

What Floofs Are Used for

Once you have some Floofs in South of Midnight, it is time to use them, assuming you have the right level. Floofs are the main currency in this game and you use it to upgrade and unlock your abilities in the skill tree. Whenever you want to get a new general ability, you will have to spend Floofs to earn it.

In addition, if you want to upgrade the four main spells that Hazel uses, you will need Floof for that as well. As mentioned, you will often have more than enough of this currency. This is because you have to reach a certain level as Hazel before you can unlock and upgrade most abilities. So, be sure to grind taking out foes if you want to properly be able to spend your Floofs.
