Although the Avatar Aang Fortnite skin is available now, you need to complete a special quest to unlock his Appa Glider. Here is how to get Appa in Fortnite for free and what you need to do to open chakras.
How to Open Chakras in Fortnite – Appa Glider Quest Explained
To get Appa in Fortnite, you need to collect six Chakras by completing weekly quests. During the Avatar: Elements event, a new set of Chakra challenges will be made available in the game every two days.
Completing four of the five tasks in the quest will “open” a Chakra. So, for example, the Water Chakra is currently available in Fortnite and has the following tasks:
- Deal Damage to Opponents with Waterbending (1,000 points of DMG)
- Land on Water from the bus (2 times)
- Receive Passive Healing with waterbending by entering water.
- Destroy a Cabbage Cart.
- Replenish Shields (500 Shield Points)
All you have to do is complete four of those tasks, and the Water Chakra will become open. Now you just have to wait until Epic Games adds the remaining five Chakras to the game. Once they go live, complete all six of them to get Appa in Fortnite for free.
Fortnite Chakra Release Dates – Earthbending Release Time
After completing Waterbending, you will need to wait until April 15 for the Earthbending Chakra to go live in Fortnite. Based on the current schedule, we have a rough estimate of when you can expect to get access to all six Chakras.

Players will be able to get Appa in Fortnite starting on April 27, 2024, if the list above remains accurate. Once all Chakras have been added to the game, you will be able to obtain the Fortnite Appa Glider for free just by completing the six quests.
