Goomy is one of the Pokemon Legends: Z-A characters you can get outside of Wild Zones, just like Eevee. The thing is, it isn’t available as early as characters like Ralts and Riolu. Instead, you need to progress in the story until the Sewers are available to explore outside of the campaign. Once you do, you can find it in a specific part of the underground network.

Where can I find Goomy in Pokemon Legends: Z-A?

Goomy lives in the Lumiose City sewers in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, but you can’t actually get in there until you finish Side Mission 57: The Camerupt Entrepreneur. Once you start that task, you could honestly even already find the little dragon.

Instead of going where you should in that side quest, go to this room I highlighted on the map below. A single Goomy should be waiting there. Now, I was worried it was a skittish one, so each time I snuck in and tossed Poke Balls ASAP. I had no issue getting it immediately each time with an Ultra Ball, though I did find I needed to leave the sewers and hang around for a bit outside before returning to get one to respawn.

Here’s the exact spot where Goomy will be:

How do I evolve Goomy to Sliggoo and Goodra in Pokemon Legends: Z-A?

As for getting Sliggoo and Goodra fairly early on in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, that all comes down to evolution as normal. Goomy can evolve into Sliggoo at level 40. When I went into the sewers, I encountered ones that were in the high 30s.

Goodra involves waiting for rain, as usual. The weather will change in Lumiose City every day. Most of the time it is sunny, but sometimes it will be foggy or raining. Wait for rain, then level up Sliggoo. It will then have the option to evolve to Goodra. Choose that from the main menu, and you’ll be all set.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A is available for the Switch and Switch 2.
