Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is finally here, and you will need to perform an uppercut with Nitro Fists to complete the new Jumpstart Quests. This guide will explain where to find Nitro Fists in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, and how to land an Uppercut and an Air Punch with them.
Where to Find Nitro Fists in Fortnite (Exact Locations)
Nitro Fists can be found as a random drop in chests or by defeating certain Medallion Bosses in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3. Because they are a rare drop, though, it can be quite frustrating to find the new weapon. Thankfully, there is a set location where you are practically guaranteed to find them with a little work.
Below are the best locations to find Nitro Fists in Fortnite.
- Sandy Steppes
- Brutal Beachhead
- Redline Rig
- Nitro Dome
- Lavish Lair
However, the best place to find Nitro Fists is by defeating the new Fortnite Megalodon Medallion boss battle. Unfortunately, the new boss moves around on the map. So, to find him, pause your game at the start of your map and look for his skull icon. In the image below, Megalodon is traveling next to Lavish Lair.
In my game, I was able to get Mythical Nitro Fists by defeating Megalodon at the Brutal Beachhead ship. Just prepare to put up a fight, as many players will be trying to attack the NPC at the same time. If you aren’t able to take on the new boss, then just open as many chests as you can until you find the Nitro Fists at random.
How to Complete the “With Nitro Fists Perform an Uppercut then land with an Air Punch” Fortnite quest
Finding the melee weapon is only half the battle, as you then need to use them for the new Jumpstart Quests. Once you find them, the quest states: “With Nitro Fists, Perform an Uppercut then land with an Air Punch. Here is how to do that:
- Equip the Nitro Fists in your weapon slot.
- Press “L2” (PlayStation) or “LT” (Xbox) to Uppercut with the Nitro Fists.
- While in the air at the peak of your uppercut, press “R2” or “RT” to then Air Punch.
- However, to complete the quest, you will need to land this combination on an actual enemy.
As stated above, this quest is pretty difficult as you need to actually land the combo on an enemy. The best way to do this is to get close to an opponent and press “L2” or “LT” to uppercut them in the air.
As soon as you are lined up in the air with your enemy, immediately press “R2” or “RT” to Air Punch them. This may take you a few tries as it’s quite challenging. I recommend finding an NPC on the map, as they are less likely to try to counter it with rapid movement.
