Like with most daily-life sims, Hello Kitty Island Adventure breaks up part of your gameplay routine with special events. These are usually based on a real-life holiday, or mark the changing of the season. While not always in-depth or engrossing, many of Island Adventure’s events add limited-time items, encouraging you to put a pause on other tasks and focus on those exclusives instead. Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s Springtime Celebration event ushers in the new season, and with it, adds Petals to the daily material spawns around the island. Here’s how to get Petals during Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s Springtime Celebration, and a quick explanation of what they’re for.
How to Get Petals in Hello Kitty Island Adventure Springtime Celebration

Petals spawn daily during the Springtime Celebration event, and you don’t even need to go very far to collect them. All your daily Petals will spawn in the Seaside Resort area. The largest concentration of Petal spawns are in the Southwest part of the island, in the space between Tuxedosam’s shop and the pier holding the Resort Dock fast travel point. Seven petals spawn every day for you to collect. In addition, an extra Petal is rewarded for every daily quest you complete. This amounts to 11 total Petals you can collect in a day.
Before you spend an Island Bouquet to reset the area for more materials, don’t waste your time…or your bouquet. As is the case with every other event in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, special event items are exempt from the Island Bouquet’s effect. They will not respawn. You will have to wait for the daily reset to continue your Petal harvesting.
How to Use Petals in Hello Kitty Island Adventure Springtime Celebration

Petals can be used to purchase Springtime Celebration furniture from the Event Stand located in the center of Seaside Resort. Be ready for the long haul during this event. Your daily collection of Petals pale in comparison to the cost of many of the Spring Celebration’s items. Here’s a quick list of 2025’s Springtime Celebration Event Stand items and their Petal cost:
- Sakura Vase – 5 Petals
- Small Paper Lantern – 7 Petals
- Large Sakura Vase – 8 Petals
- Sakura Flower Side Table – 10 Petals
- Sakura Ikebana – 10 Petals
- Sakura Topiary – 10 Petals
- Springtime Coffee Table – 15 Petals
- Sakura Vanity – 15 Petals
- Sakura Rug – 20 Petals
- Sand Garden – 20 Petals
- Sakura Platform Bed – 30 Petals
Note that the total number of Petals you’ll need to collect every item in the Event Stand amounts to 150 Petals! At 11 Petals per day, this requires at least 14 real days of collecting every Petal, including daily quest rewards, in order to buy every item. This year (2025,) Springtime Celebration will run from March 2nd to April 8th. That’s over 30 days, giving you plenty of time- enough to even collect duplicates of those items!

However, because it’s a yearly event, this year’s offerings are different from the last. If you want to collect last year’s items as well, you’ll have to visit both Tuxedosam’s and My Melody’s stores every day to find out if the specific piece you want is in-stock. Keep in mind that past years’ items are available for a cheaper (typically no more than five) Petal cost, but will require additional materials in order to purchase them. Given how many extra days you’ll have during the event to collect Petals, it’s a good idea to focus on previous-year items first. Those require fewer Petals, and may not reappear in the shops if you miss them the first time.
Happy Petal harvesting! Another way of acquiring previous-year event furniture is to earn Friendship Beads through multiplayer tasks.
